While the pace of the game is often unrealistic the player models are not. A typical PES game is more akin to the recent 4-3 Manchester derby than the continentally paced Fifa. The action feels slightly slower than 2009 but is still much faster than Fifa. Initial discomfort soon gives way to a greater feel on the pitch, with plenty of room to improvise as you create space for a cross or shot. Headers feel much more realistic now too, with the players responding realistically to your timed button presses.įor the first time players can use 360 degree control when moving players. Aerial through balls are a particular delight but cushioned first-time passes and accurately weighted crosses are all a joy. The action is fast, instinctive and expressive. PES 2010 continues the trend and is simply a joy to play. F orget the lack of official licences, restricted online options and menu – Pro Evolution Soccer has always delivered where it matters most, on the pitch.
